Dr Skye Charry

Dr. Skye Charry is a recognised leader in sex discrimination and has dedicated more than 20 years to the advancement of gender equality through her advocacy, research, legal practice and consulting. An associate professor of law with a strong background in strategic governance, Skye has cross-sectoral experience in achieving equitable, and safe work environments.
Skye’s legal and cultural expertise and her academic leadership, combined with her pioneering research on sexual harassment (e.g. her book Whispers from the Bush- The Workplace Sexual Harassment of Australian Rural Women), have directly informed national policies and inspired cultural change.
As Chief Consultant of S.A.C. Consulting Australia, Skye has led pivotal reviews and training programs in gender equity and sexual harassment across diverse sectors, from forestry, agriculture, law and education- advancing inclusive workplaces. Skye is an independent director with the National Rural Women’s Coalition and brings invaluable insight into rural and regional women’s challenges across Australia.
Skye is also Vice President of the YWCA Canberra and Chair of ACT Ministerial Advisory Council for Women.
