Liz Ritchie

Liz Ritchie is currently the General Manager Strategy and Partnerships at the Regional Australia Institute (RAI), which she joined in August 2018. For almost 20 years, Liz has worked with NFP’s and corporates to ensure organisations are preparing themselves for the future. Most recently Liz has held leadership roles with Westpac Commercial Bank (2016-18) and CEDA (2008-16) and during this time Liz has advanced her interest and advocacy in gender equality in Australia.

Liz is a national researcher, commentator, facilitator and consultant on gender issues producing the first CEDA Women in Leadership (WiL) report for CEDA entitled – ‘Looking Under the Surface’ and contributing to the second report ‘Understanding the Gender Gap’ and a Steering Committee member of CEDA’s report celebrating five years of Women in Leadership Series nationally ‘WiL – CEDA Top 10 Speeches’. Liz has presented her research on this topic to business, government, academia and the not for profit sectors; some including Shell, Deloitte, Women in Leadership Summit, College of Psychologists in WA; Curtin University; Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre, CPA Australia, Integral Leadership, Georgiou Group, Jackson McDonald, U.S Consulate General and NAWO.

Liz was a Committee Member of the Women in Westpac and also part of the Committee for Perth’s Steering Committee for their ground-breaking gender study, ‘Filling the Pool’. Due to her success, Liz was invited to participate in the Minister of Women’s Interest, Liza Harvey’s, gender equality roundtables to address gender inequality in WA.

In 2015, Liz was a Business News 40 Under 40 Winner in WA, recognised for her contribution to business and the community. In the same year, Liz became a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Liz also holds a Master of Applied Science (Organisational Dynamics) from RMIT and a Bachelor of Public Relations, RMIT.
