Join us for a conversation with Paul Verschuer, Deputy Secretary of the Markets Group within the Treasury. The Markets Group provides the Government with policy advice that promotes dynamic, well-functioning markets, a strong and fair financial system, and openness to international capital. They are responsible for reforms that enhance competition and safeguard the public interest in key areas such as consumer policy, financial system, business and corporations law, and foreign investment. Paul brings 30 years of industry experience to the Treasury, having commenced his career with Macquarie Bank in 1987. Come along and hear Paul share his insights, and join in the conversation with your industry peers. Please note that this event is cabaret style with table seating available (tables of 10). Both individual and group bookings are welcome.

Pre Work

Participants are encouraged to come armed with a curiosity about the function of the Markets Group within the Treasury, the role of policy in promoting efficient markets, and bring focused questions to raise for discussion.
