Women in Automotive

Created by the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce (VACC) and currently providing for a growing membership of over 1000 men and women across Australia (and some internationally), WinA exists to promote, provide for, and support women across all levels and sectors of automotive.

 

Working in collaboration with Women & Leadership Australia, WinA recently spearheaded the creation and execution of an automotive based women’s leadership development course, boasting over 70 scholarships with support from St. George Bank and Toyota. Other recent WinA initiatives include; production of an industry first smart-business guidebook – launched to a sold-out audience of over 120 men and women – ‘How to Attract, Recruit, and Retain Women in the Australian Automotive Industry’; Regular industry networking and informational events in metro and regional regions; and the successful hosting of the 2020 WinA International Women’s Day panel, selling out over three weeks in advance, featuring support from Red Bull and Motocross Australia.

 

Women in Automotive is managed by VACC Industry Policy Advisor Dr. Imogen Reid, and governed by a steering committee, Chaired by VACC Non-executive director and previous CFO of Frankston Toyota, Sharon Pask.
