SUMMARY:Cybersecurity Panel: Crucial Factors for Cyber Protection
DESCRIPTION:The pandemic has significantly increased Australian dependence on the internet\, making it virtually essential to operating in a ‘new normal’ that’s been sustained for over a year now; but what use is exciting and agile new infrastructure if it isn’t properly protected? \nThe Australian Cyber Security Centre found that 90% of organisations (surveyed) experienced at least one form of attempted or successful cyber attack in the previous year. \nOver the past financial year\, a cyberattack was reported to the ACSC every 8 minutes. The cost of cybercrime on the Australian economy has been quantified a staggering $33 billion in self-reported losses over the past year. \nThe Australian government’s Stay Smart online research indicates it can take between 23 to 51 days to resolve and continue normal business operations post an attack. \nIn this roundtable with a panel of security\, legal and financial services experts\, we’ll discuss the current status\, potential developments\, and challenges of modern cybersecurity in banking and finance. \nIn this 45-minute session\, hear from Caroline Pauley – Executive Director\, Institutional Banking at ANZ\, Will Ulyate – National Cyber Security\, Critical Infrastructure Manager at RIoT Solutions and Matt McMillan – Partner at McCullough Robertson. We will cover:\n– How the pace\, scale and sophistication of cyber-attacks have reached new levels\, making a holistic approach relevant to every level of the business.\n– How boards need to govern and manage the risk\, it’s also become a leadership skill for executives.\n– How all staff in an organisation now play a role in cyber and how they can contribute to the overall cyber protection of their organisation.\n– How to maintain relationships with customers\, partners and vendors\, which are incredibly important to protection of an organisation.\n– The critical elements to consider in the first 24 hours when an incidence occurs.

SUMMARY:Crunch time: How to make every decision count with Alena Bennett
DESCRIPTION:It’s simple – when it’s crunch time\, every decision counts. But it’s hard. Have you ever tried running around a race track\, then immediately come to complete standstill….on one foot? The concentration it takes to balance is hard when you’re exhausted: just like decision making during the pressure of crunch times. So much so\, that sometimes leaders suffer ‘paralysis by analysis’ as they tie themselves up in knots trying to make the right decision. \nIn this 45-minute session\, join Alena Bennett – speaker\, author\, mentor\, trainer & facilitator and executive coach for this interactive session where she will:\n– Provide you with the antidote for decision fatigue\n– Share with you why you don’t always get the results you expect (and give you tools to fix it!)\n– Tell you how to get people to listen when you talk\, and take action when you lead
