SUMMARY:What it means to become a dynamic leader with Shelley Flett
DESCRIPTION:What really creates dynamic leadership is believing that sometimes the best course of action is the one that feels least comfortable – the thing that is counterintuitive. For many leaders this is letting go of control and learning to influence. \nIn this 45-minute session\, hear from Shelley Flett\, business and leadership coach and trainer. She will cover:\n– Investing in relationships – which encourages leaders to be their true\, authentic selves and show genuine care and concern for their people. It highlights the importance of acting with integrity\, doing what they say they’re going to do and doing what’s right\, particularly when they think no one is watching…someone is always watching!\n– Inspiring respect – challenges leaders to see other perspectives and acknowledge that there is no right or wrong way of doing things\, just different.\n– Influencing results – demonstrates how dynamic leaders move their staff to action and make sustainable and incremental improvements over time. Dynamic Leaders empower their people\, believe in their ability to give the task the right level of attention and trust that they will represent them and the business as best they can.

SUMMARY:Intro to Executive Presence with Shannon Dolan
DESCRIPTION:Sometimes it can be hard to describe Executive Presence. And yet\, we know it when we see it\, when we hear it\, and when we feel it. Whether it is in person or online\, the ability to command a space\, to connect easily\, to influence at any level. These are signs that Executive Presence is “in the house”. Is it born or is it bred? Well\, it’s a little of both. It is self-awareness to capitalise on our authentic strengths and having a flexible approach in our communication style. This adds up to more successful outcomes and a stronger and more positive personal brand. \nIn this 45 minute session\, hear from Shannon Dolan\, Executive Coach and Director of Performance Power about understanding what makes Executive Presence. She will cover:\n– What is Executive Presence?\n– How to establish Executive Presence\n– Tips to boost your presence and confidence

SUMMARY:WiBF | Ask the Experts - Practise social distancing but not vocal distancing: How to speak with influence when working remotely
DESCRIPTION:Now it is critical for all employees to be able to speak with impact\, influence and confidence. Leaders now need to be heard through a general high level of anxiety or in fast paced and unpredictable scenarios. The business that comes with face to face speaking will get lost in the pandemonium unless people have the skills to stay in control and cut through – virtually or not. \nIn this 45 minute session\, Lucy Cornell\, Founder and CEO of The Cornell Voice Advisory\, a leading Global Specialist on the speaking Voice for Business leaders will equip you with techniques:\n– to stay in voice while working remotely\,\n– to speak boldly when it matters\,\n– to be clear and direct\,\n– to listen deeply so you can discern where agenda meets truth\n– to access the remote working super power: to hear what is in a voice – not just the words\, but the intention in the voice.

SUMMARY:2020 Annual Forum of the Australian Gender Equality Council
DESCRIPTION:As we head into the new year this is an important message to SAVE THE DATE for the 2020 Annual Forum of the Australian Gender Equality Council\, which is  being held in Sydney on Wednesday 1st & Thursday 2nd April 2020. \nWith the successful release of AGEC’s Manifesto for Gender Equality in 2019\, we see 2020 as an important year to grow AGEC’s impact and influence by progressing our core objectives. Our successes to date have demonstrated that collaboration with our Member Organisations and key stakeholders is critical to gaining momentum on key gender equality priorities. With your help we see this as the focus of the 2020 Annual Members’ Forum. \nThe Agenda for AGEC’s  2020 Annual Forum will focus on the domains of the Manifesto we collectively see as priorities for action in 2020 and to identify initiatives where we can collaborate or leverage to make real progress in the year ahead. \nThe outcomes of the 2019 Forum demonstrated the value of the 2-day format and your feedback told us that spending time together\, and learning more about each of our Member Organisations\, and your initiatives\, was enormously beneficial.  So we are keen to get as many of our Member Organisations and key stakeholders together again for the 2020 Annual Forum.
